On May 7, 2020 the United Bank Limited (UBL), through a notification, announced appointment of Mr. Shazad G. Dada as President & CEO of UBL with effect from July 1, 2020 for a term of 03 year. The decision was made by the Board of Directors of UBL in a meeting held on May 6, 2020.
However, the appointment is subject to approval of State Bank of Pakistan under Fit and Proper Test and compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in this regard.
Mr. Shazad was the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited since 2014. Earlier, Shazad had resigned from SCBPL on May 6, 2020 after serving as its CEO and member of Board of Director.
Mr. Shazad will replace the outgoing President & CEO Ms. Sima Kamil who served UBL for three years. Ms. Sima Kamil who is completing her 3 years term on May 31, 2020 will continue to perform as the head till June 30, 2020.
