GilgitApp is a new and upcoming online marketplace for buying and selling products in Pakistan. Founded by Ejaz Karim, CEO, and Co-founder, and Ehsanullah Baig, Co-founder, and Product Manager, this start-up is made up of a small but dedicated group of IT graduates from Gilgit City. Despite the lack of investment from mainstream investors, GilgitApp has made a name for itself, with app downloads of over 500K on PlayStore.
The app is user-friendly and offers a wide range of products for sale, including cars, bikes, electronics, home appliances, furniture, fashion, pets, and more. With more than 70k products listed, users can easily find what they are looking for. The app also features properties for sale and rent, making it a one-stop shop for all your buying and selling needs.
GilgitApp is constantly improving, with the team working tirelessly to provide the best experience for users. One unique feature is the Buyer Request option, which allows users to request specific products and receive offers from different sellers. The app also includes filters such as price range and brand, making it easier for users to find exactly what they are looking for.
GilgitApp is launching two exciting new features: GilgitApp Shops and Featured Items. The purpose of GilgitApp Shops is to allow small and medium businesses to sell their merchandise directly to customers, much like Daraz or other e-retail platforms. To ensure swift delivery, the company intends to provide 24-hour delivery services and establish warehouses in various cities throughout Pakistan. The Featured Items feature will enable sellers to highlight their products and maintain a prominent position in searches and on homepages.
Although GilgitApp is a passion project for its founders, the sufficient revenue needed to run the app is generated from Ejaz Karim’s other tech company, uConnect Technologies. uConnect is a software solution provider for local and international clients and also offers training programs for digital skills development in Gilgit-Baltistan.
In conclusion, GilgitApp is a start-up with a vision to provide the best online buying and selling experiences for its users. With constant updates and improvements, GilgitApp is determined to help users easily buy and sell products, without the hassle of traditional marketplaces.
